So why do we all love beach huts so much? The quintessential Britishness, memories of childhood beach holidays or the picture postcard pastel and primary colours. For me, it’s the colours, the patterns they create and a bit of quirkiness. Maybe a notion of a time when my grandparents’ generation would enjoy promenading along the seafront.
Last week, on my first visit to the Suffolk coast, I was very keen to visit Southwold. A photographers’ and Instagrammers paradise. It’s a top location for beach huts and probably one of the most photographed. We were so lucky to visit on a gloriously sunny, blue sky day.
Many of my images are available for prints and as stock imagery. For further information please get in touch.
