It’s been a busy few weeks for me and no new blog posts for a while! I have lots more ‘Adventures in Qatar’ to share with you but in the meantime…
Last week I was back in the UK for, amongst other things, a Beginners’ DSLR workshop at beautiful and inspiring Compton Verney. I really enjoy these workshops with groups of lovely enthusiastic folk, eager to learn. The grounds have extra inspiration just now with sculptures from Moore and Rodin placed around the grounds and house.
At lunch break I took a few minutes outside with my beloved lensbaby. I found myself particularly drawn to the wonderfully softly textured exploded bull rushes in the lake. And the statue that fascinated me and took most of my attention, was the magnificent bronze ‘Three Piece Sculpture : Vertebrae’ by Henry Moore from 1968.
If you already have a basic knowledge of the controls on your DSLR and are looking to take your photography a step further, you might be interested in the next workshop in June for Intermediate DSLR users. To find out more go to the Compton Verney website.
