Moore at Compton Verney

Back in the UK after a busy few weeks in the Middle East, to tutor a Beginners' DSLR workshop at beautiful and inspiring Compton Verney. I really enjoy these workshops with groups of lovely enthusiastic folk, eager to learn. The grounds had extra inspiration with sculptures from Moore and Rodin placed around the grounds and house.

At lunch break I took a few minutes outside with my beloved lensbaby. I found myself particularly drawn to the wonderfully softly textured exploded bull rushes in the lake.   And the statue that fascinated me and took most of my attention, was the magnificent bronze 'Three Piece Sculpture : Vertebrae' by Henry Moore from 1968.
