A bit about me
A bit about me
I have the best job. Meeting lovely people and capturing their stories.
Observing and capturing the moments without influencing them. Call it documentary, reportage or photojournalism, they all mean the same thing. Authentic moments photographed honestly, naturally and unposed.
My job, as a wedding photographer, is to tell your story and that is what I love doing. I shoot what I see – all the emotions – nerves, joy, love, laughter and sometimes tears.
I work calmly around the edges and in amongst your guests watching for the moments to unfold, because the photos should be about your day and not vice versa. You don’t want your lasting memory when you look at your photos to be the bossy photographer do you? What I aim to capture for you is a memory, a reminder of being in that moment. And often a few moments that passed you by too.
So who DOES like having their photo taken? Models and celebrities aside, most of us feel self conscious about it (me included). Often a short stroll away from the guests will help you feel more comfortable for a short session to capture some couples shots. I have a relaxed style for these, no unnatural poses, just some gentle direction if you need it, and I promise I won’t keep you away from your guests for too long.
``Wow what an amazing photographer you are, you have absolutely captured our day. We have had so many compliments about you and how you managed to keep things natural which enabled people to be photographed in the best possible way. I am not photogenic but I can honestly say you made me look fab. Many, many, thanks. This has been the best day of our lives and you have done the very best job of capturing it.``
